Open Doctoral Promotion Session in Economics: Dr. Tutik Siswanti, SE., M. Si
On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the Faculty of Economics and Business at Trisakti University held an Open Doctoral Promotion Session in Economics with a concentration in Accounting at Campus A, Hendriawan Sie (S) Building, 8th floor. During the event, Dr. Tutik Siswanti, SE., M. Si was declared to have passed her doctoral degree with a grade of “Very Satisfactory,” becoming the 190th graduate of the doctoral program with a concentration in accounting.
The dissertation entitled “The Influence of Financial Behavior Perceptions, Financial Attitudes, and Company Reputation on Digital Investment Decisions with Financial Literacy as a Moderator” examines and analyzes how perceptions, financial attitudes, and company reputation influence digital investment decisions, as well as the role of financial literacy in strengthening these relationships. This study provides novelty in the measurement of financial behavior perception variables by adding 2 dimensions and 6 new indicators.
This session was chaired by the Chair of the Session, Prof. Dr. Yolanda Masnita Siagian, MM., CIRR., CMA, CPMA (Asia), accompanied by the Chair of the Doctoral Program in Economics with a Concentration in Accounting, who also served as Secretary, Prof. Dr. Etty Murwaningsari, Ak., MM., CA, with the Promoter Prof. Juniati Gunawan, M.Si., Ph.D., CRA., CGP., CA, and co-promoter Prof. Dr. Titik Aryati, Ak., CA., CPIA. The examination team consisted of Dr. Susi Dwi Mulyani, Ak., MM., CA, Dr. Idrianita Anis, SE., Ak., M. Kom., CA., CPMA., CPIA, and Dr. Dr. Johane BP Simanjuntak., SE., Ak., MSPM., CA
Novelty of the research by adding the dimensions of religiosity and environmental awareness to the financial behavior perception variable in the previous study by Hossain and Siddiqua (2022). The addition of the dimensions of religiosity and environmental awareness to the financial attitude variable aims to broaden the understanding of individual financial behavior. Religious values and environmental awareness shape financial behavior with ethical principles and social responsibility, so that financial decisions are not only profit-oriented but also consider moral and sustainability aspects.
The results of the study show that perceptions of financial behavior and financial attitudes play a significant role in encouraging investors to make digital investment decisions. However, company reputation does not have a significant influence. Financial literacy has been proven to play an important role in improving the quality of digital investment decisions, as it can strengthen the influence of perceptions of financial behavior and company reputation on digital investment decisions. This research implies that investors need to improve their digital financial literacy, planning, and prudence in investing; digital investment service providers must strengthen system security, ease of access, and responsiveness; and the government and OJK need to tighten regulations, supervision, and collaboration to protect investors.
With this achievement, Dr. Tutik Siswanti is expected to contribute to encouraging investors to realize the importance of understanding the dynamics of investment decisions in the digital era, and fintech companies and regulators are committed to creating a safe, rational, and sustainable digital investment ecosystem.
