The Doctoral Program in Economics (PDIE) majoring in accounting was established in 2010 with the Decree No. 02/OT/1.01/KPTS/FE/III/2010. PDIE Accounting Concentration is under the Doctor of Economics program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Trisakti. Initial established, the program was chaired by the late Prof. Dr. Itjang D. Gunawan, Ak., MBA, and afterwards, he was replaced by Prof. Dr. Etty Murwaningsari, AK.,MM.,CA up until now.

Currently, PDIE Accounting Concentration has approximately 123 active students and 122 alumni. The students were from academics, as well as practitioners from all over the country. Along with its existence, the Doctoral Study Program in Economics has been evaluated and assessed by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) for the first time and received B accreditation in 2012 through Decree 003/BAN-PT/Ak-SURV-II/S3/V/2012 dated 2 May 2012. This assessment is valid until 10 February 2017. Further, in 2017, the National Accreditation Board for Education High awarded Accreditation B through Decree 3806/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/D/X/2017 on 17 October 2017, which valid until 4 July 2022. Afterwards, the Program carried out re-accreditation through LAMEMBA and obtaining the results “Very Good”. This accreditation will be valid from 19 September 2022 to 19 September 2027 based on LAMEMBA Decree No. 004/DE/A.5/AR.10/IX/2022.
